 The Delinquency Prevention Council's work is performed by the following committees:
Executive
This committee consists of the director, the chairperson, two vice chairpersons, and a secretary. The committee is responsible for the overall direction of the Council.
Membership and Sustainability
This committee is responsible for recruiting new members and addressing issues of financial sustainability for the Council.
Intervention
This committee addresses issues and develops programs relating to how to effectively respond once delinquent behavior has occurred.

- Victim Offender Conferencing
- Teen Court
- First Offender Program
0-5 Age
A prevention-based committee that develops programs and provides education to the community about issues affecting families with young children.
Efforts:
- Fort Atkinson Children's Share and Care Fair
(held annually in March)
- Spanish language growth chart
(available from the Council director)
- Handbook for Help -- a resource guide for families with children ages 0-5
(available in English and Spanish)
- Child Abuse Prevention subcommittee -- Its mission is to educate the public on what is child abuse and provide resources for families and service providers.
School-Age
A prevention-based committee that develops programs and provides education on issues relating to schools, the community, and families with school age children.
Programs:
- Bullying Prevention Program
- Juvenile substance use/abuse prevention
- Local community coalition formation
- Gang subcommittee -- This committee has researched extent of the gangs and gang-related issues in Jefferson County and is in the process of developing a plan to address those issues.
The executive committee provides overall program evaluation. Each committee is responsible for evaluating the success of its projects and education efforts.
